Halogenating

Halogenated solutions are a water-based cleaner, solvent, or product used to bond surfaces. This solution removes any oil from the mold where the pieces have been previously made. It is essential for a good adhesion of the glue.

Metal tip

It is the small piece of plastic or metal that we can find at the end of the lace of the sports shoes.

Last

It is the foot-shaped mold that is used to make footwear. The lasts can be made of plastic, metal or wood.

Hollow

Sometimes called a neck, it is the opening area of a shoe at the top.

Footprint

The clearance is the interior space between the tip of the toes and the end of the shoe tip. Depending on the fashion, the shoes can have many or few missing points.
