Edward Hopper, the inspiration of the Sibaritas’ campaign image

Now that we are reaching the end of the Autumn-Winter Campaign, we are going to talk to you about Edward Hopper, the inspiration of the Sibarita’s campaign image.

Edward Hopper (1882-1967) was a well-known American painter, famous above all for his portraits representing moments of solitude in contemporary American life.

His painting is characterized by a peculiar and singular game between lights and shadows, as well as by how he was able to describe the interiors.

Hopper eventually became the author of reference for the realists who painted American scenes, thanks to his amazing ability to synthesize the figurative vision together with the poetic feeling he was able to perceive in objects.

Through urban or rural images in real spaces and immersed in absolute silence, Hopper manages to project a feeling of distance from the few characters he shows in his works, with a brilliant geometric composition of the canvas.

In its first life campaign, our Sibaritas brand required a privileged scenario that showed how a girl and a boy enjoyed an “exquisite experience” (the brand’s slogan) in a solitary setting, living their moment, with a look for the occasion topped with the best shoes.

In order to do this, we recreate the real-life setting of the painting entitled “Summer Evening“, one of Hopper’s most well-known works and which represents an artistic jewel of the expressiveness of a special moment.

Just as Hopper was able to create works in which it is possible to enter and imagine the moment unlimitedly, Sibaritas is a brand with products full of details worthy of contemplation.

They are shoes to enjoy special moments, conceived in the constant reinvention of the classic concept with a present appearance, manufactured with high quality materials that gives origin to unique pieces.
